Russia has conducted its first airstrike in Syria, near the city of Homs, a senior U.S. official told CNN Wednesday.

Good for Russia. It’s good to see someone doing some damage to ISIS, because we are not capable to lead under the present administration.
It was claimed to be a founding principle of Obarky’s administration. Give us another UN speech, jerk.
Good for Russia. Its good to see someone doing some damage to ISIS, because we are not capable to lead under the present administration.
It isn’t that we are not capable of leading, it’s that this current administration REFUSES to lead.
Russia will take over Syria.
Iran will be a partner.
Hizbollah will be a partner.
China will be a partner.
North Korea will be a supplier.
After that, who's next? Probably Lebanon who can't even get their trash removal system under control.
With Syria and Lebanon under their heel, Russia will begin fragmenting Jordan. After Jordan, it's WWIII with Israel.
Since 2009, the US has been in global retreat with Obama’s RESETS. It is only going to get worse and we can only pray that a Republican gets elected in ‘16.
Which Obama/ISIS base did they hit?
Putin is proving to the House of Saud, to King Hussein, to the Egyptian regime, that he can protect them from both an Arab Spring and Islamic militants. And he has relations with Iran that could keep them at bay. The Persian Gulf is about to become a Russian lake. The resurrection of the zombie Assad regime will seal the deal on that.
Ahh - so Putin is trying to take out competition for his oil...
The ISIS's oil sales have been disrupted.
Most likely Iraq as well. And when all is said and done Russia and Iran will control the Persian Gulf and much of the world's oil supply. This has the potential to be catastrophic for the whole world. What a time to have an anti-American asshat in the White House!
Pray we can hold on long enough to elect a real leader.
As in WWII, civilians were killed in large numbers in an effort to disrupt the war machine of our enemies.
This practice seems to be the plan in dealing with this conflict. There will be no such thing as “collateral damage”, it will be seen as a necessary tool in the destruction of ISIS as in the destroying of the NAZI regime.
If Raqqa and other cities under ISIS influence are flattened in the next few weeks with large “civilian” deaths reported...we will see that this is the strategy.
A throw-back war...as it were.
We are merely spectators at this point. Hope the Rooskies have good camera footage to share with us all. :-)
The day after the US elections in 2008, I said to all the folks I know that this is putting the WRONG man in the WRONG position at the WRONG time in history. Cosmic cataclysmic events have slowly unfolded up till now but it looks like things will speed up as we head towards November 2016.
That's what this is about. Obammy is pro arab spring, muslim brotherhood, isis, etc... And Russia is going to destroy these groups. Russia will be the strong arm protector for the leaders of these middle east countries. Obammy wants to negotiate philosophy and Russia is teaching him how. The only thing worse than bringing a knife to a gun fight is bring a philosopher to one.
I said the same thing. I was told by many to 'lighten up...at least we won't be running around the world starting wars'. Idiots!
Just killing the savages Obama arms.
I wonder if the Soviets, oops, I meant Russians, will extend Constitutional Rights to the combatants.
I was told by many LIVs to “Cheer up, things could be worse”.
I cheered up and, damn it, they were right!
People have been telling me to chill out as well since 2001.
At least we won't be the “World's Policeman” anymore, they said.
Fools.
Now we are going to be on the trash heap of history soon of we don't get our rear ends in gear.
I do not see a populace that have a clue that their cellphones and Latte coffee will be taken away either by Muslims or Soviets or both...then what are they going to do?
Do you mean the combatants' rights defined in the Geneva conventions to ISIS fighters? They don't have those rights, since they aren't a regular army's soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Shiite majority in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and their henchmen in Lebanon will consolidate their Shiite Caliphate lands north of the Persian Gulf with Russia as their main ally and continue to ethnic cleanse their Sunni enemies and whatever Christians remain.
The Shiite minorities in Saudi Arabia and Yemen will continue to gain strength. It is likely the Saudi Kingdom will fall to Sunni radicals and be split between the Shiite minorities (on the Persian Gulf) and the Sunnis controlling the rest of the country. Kuwait and the Gulf States will disappear into the Iranian orbit.
Egypt, Jordan, and Libya will try to make a bargain with the new strong horse in the middle east, Russia, to remain in power but it is likely the Sunni radicals will prevail and continue the war with the Shiites and Russians.
Israel will be left out in the cold with enemies on all sides.
America will not be much of a factor except to take in millions of the new "migrants" to join the tens of millions of others already here from all over the world who will be granted amnesty. Eventually we will be fighting the Muslim demands of the millions within our own borders and eventually the violence will ramp up here with bombings and massacres and targeted killings of infidels. It is either that or succumb to their demands for Sharia Law.
This is not going to be a pretty picture if it plays out this way. But it is the table we have set for ourselves when we pulled out and left Iraq to the depredations of radicals of both sides.
