MOSCOW, September, 30, by TASS

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin submitted to the Federation Council [upper house of the parliament] a proposal to issue a bill to allow him using abroad the Russian Armed Forces on the basis of "universally recognised principles and regulations of the international law" as the Kremlin's press centre has informed.

[...]

You need to get with the program. When Putin acts like Obama, it’s good. When Obama acts like Putin, it’s bad.

Is he going to ask permission from the UN too? Russia and the libs and even the repubs always insist on that when we want to do something.

I think he isn't. I've heard something about that the UN charter allows military help to a internationally recognised government without a decision by the Security Council. Assad is one and he has asked Russia for help.

The US did not have forces within Libya during their civil war. Operation Unified Protector used air assets from bases outside of Libya. Russia has no bases in the region other than Syria so Russia has to send forces into Syria to assist Assad.

Putin does not need “permission” from anybody to do anything

Maybe he doesn't need but still asks for them.

Interesting how that works, isn’t it? Send the troops, ask for permission later. You Russians crack me up.

Well the air war in Syria has started this morning with Russia telling the US to get our aircraft out or they will be treated as hostile.

May God protect our military and our nation and may Congress finally step up and assert its authority to rein in this president before he gets us into WW 3 on behalf of his ego

Send the troops, ask for permission later.

Well, that's a permission to use, not to deploy.

No, just a hearty laugh. Putin sends the troops first, asks for permission later. Vodka-sodden FR Bolsheviks then make excuses.

they will be treated as hostile

FoxNews says nothing about this 'treating as hostile'. Again from that article:

The Russian demand also mirrors one made by Turkey this past July, when Ankara asked U.S. planes to fly only in airspace south of Mosul, Iraq. In that case, 24 Turkish jets bombed Kurdish positions, catching the U.S. off guard.

Does it mean the U.S. are at war with Turkey? Unlikely.

A laugh is a reaction. Check wording of the article 102, point 'г' of the Russian Constitution.

Putin going after terrorist ISIS Muslims in Syria—is entirely consistent. Putin backed Egypt’s Pres Al Sisi to throw terrorist Muslims out of Egyptian politics. Putin backed al Sisi ‘s vow to rebuild the 63 churches and businesses destroyed by the rampaging Muslims. Putin sticking his finger in the eye of the WH Muslim? That’s a wrap.

===========================================

Putin announced the formation of a “broad international coalition” to fight ISIS in Syria and Iraq. “Similar to the anti-Hitler coalition, it could unite a broad range of forces” to fight “those, who, just like the Nazis, sow evil and hatred of humankind,” Putin said.

We had to hear it from Russia? Why couldn't the WH ding-a-ling mouth those reassuring words? The easy answer....b/c he sees himself as a defender of ISIS...not the American people.

That reminds me of those like Buchanan who oppose an American effort abroad because we’re a Republic, not an empire. Then, he and they champion Russian expansionism. They’re against US protecting its allies and interest. They see valid reasons for their man Putin to do it.
