"I agree about having skin in the game but you have to remember that this will also give boost to the economy. The people who will not be paying income tax will be spending that money instead of it going to the government."

Maybe to some degree. Remember Pelosi's words that the more on unemployment insurance, the more they have to stimulate the economy? I see the same in your statement and Trump's plan regarding mo' money for the poor earners.

Bottom line: No one should get a free ride off the Fedgov (tax-payers) for essential services. It is contrary to our Founders' thinking. If you disagree with the last, do some study on the Federalist and anti-Federalist papers, publications, letters, diaries, Continental Congress debates of the greatest men this rock has ever produced. They did NOT agree with a free ride for anyone. They only believed in fair taxation (unlike King George) and to live while pursuing liberty and happiness.

Someone needs to do some studying alright. No one paid income tax then. It didn't exist.

There will still be FICA (7.65% of the gross + 7.65% ON the gross), self-employment tax (15% OF the gross up to a cap of 90.000?), capitol gains etc.

Too many people, maybe you included, don't have a clue about taxes.
