Reminds me of someone who called Reagan’s tax plan “Voo-Doo Economics.” And then screwed up the economy so badly after he became President that we got a rapist liar for POTUS.
“Kumar needs to hit the road.”
Why are you making up names for him? Are you biased against people of Indian descent?
Agreed. Early on, I really liked the idea of having some competent Governors in the race (well, ok, Jeb's always been too lib for me), but most of them seem determined to shoot themselves in the foot. Bush's continued flubs, Jindal's attacks on Trump, Walker's "suspension" speech...
Perhaps some of this is clever positioning by Trump, because he knows most pols are mudslingers: He'll throw out a few barbs, they respond with as bad or worse, or sillier, then Trump comes out with decently thought out position papers that even some non-supporters will like. (Of course not everyone will like Trump's position papers, but most who have not absolutely written him off already will at least concede his proposals are not silliness OR mudslinging.)
So, Trump makes his more detailed proposals, and (at least most of) his opponents seem flummoxed, because once in the mud, they've never had to climb out (in a campaign.) Nor can they honestly claim independence from wealthy / powerful donors, or even (with the exception of Cruz & Carson), honestly claim to be "outside" of the GOPe, in an election cycle in which the base has the pitchforks out. Trump, because of his level of exposure, can somewhat change his skin, and attribute a lot of the negative publicity to a biased media, which media the conservative base already detests.
IF, and this is a big IF, Trump continues with at least plausible sounding thinking on issues, and cuts out the silliest / rudest of the attacks on his opponents, then my guess is that it was all by design.
