Don't let miscreants, incompetents and other liberals separate you from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and from receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and from receiving the certain forgiveness of your sins in the sacrament of Penance. If the Mass or priest at your parish does not nourish your soul, find a parish and priest who will. Try and find a Tridentine (Old Latin) Mass where the preaching will not be about globaloney warming or redistributing the wealth but will focus ion the Gospels, the Epistles and morality. Obtain and read a copy of Thomas a Kempis' Imitation of Christ which has been in continuous publications since the fifteenth century.

The sins of men are no reason to abandon the Truth. We are all sinners and Jesus Christ died for our sins, yours, mine and everyone else's. If He could endure scourging, crowning with thorns, carrying His cross, being crucified with nails through wrists and ankles to redeem anyone willing to accept that sacrifice, we can endure fools and idiots in high places and even molesters in the rectories. Jesus Christ promised to be with His Church to the very end of time on Earth. His promises are the most reliable ever made. The gates of hell will not prevail against us.

By attending Mass and receiving the Eucharist and having your sins formally forgiven, you are supporting Jesus Christ and His plan for you and not "this stuff." If you put a little money in the basket to defray the costs of Church building maintenance and the cost of heat and light, you are not supporting "this stuff." If you attend an unquestionably orthodox parish where the priests gladly obey their vows of celibacy, remember that Father has to eat. Don't be as concerned in other parishes.

May God bless you and yours and lead you back to faithful discipleship and His sacraments! You have free will. It is up to you, as it must be.

You can find a Church that adheres to the Pre-Vatican II tradition. I left the Novus Ordo about 8 months ago. My new Parish is conservative and a true God send, I am so grateful to God for leading me here. I pray and think of our Lord more than ever before, He is my First thought at rising, throughout the day and my last thought before sleep.I now look forward to mass, adoration and confession. I am even attending Catechism classes again..and I am in my 50’s!! I never left the church, the church left me. But I have rediscovered it now and I pray that many others find it as well. What a Blessing!
