And is he really worse than Trump in the left department? I have never totally trusted Trump to be really conservative both from some of his actions, as well as his “close associations” and support shown on Apprentice.
The truth is most here are imperfect and frankly there is no ideal in terms of conservative, once again. Though I’d gamble most are better than 50%
Are you talking about the Carson who wants to give guest worker status to all illegals living off taxpayers and said he would not have shot Michael Brown but would have arrested him. He could not have arrested the 300 lb giant any more than Officer Wilson could have. That Carson? Funny how a Muslim comment raises him so in polls that nothing else matters.
Are you ready to give up your right to have a gun? Carson says people in urban areas should not have guns. Only those who live out in the country should be able to own guns. Of course he'd have guns and his body guards would have them - but not you.
Trump's conservatism or lack thereof is at the end of the day irrelevant. He's not here to be a conservative. He's here to be The Hulk! And The Hulk does one thing - SMASH! He's here to smash the GOP establishment's little playhouse to smithereens. No other candidate has the potential to wreck the infrastructure that the GOPe has carefully constructed to guarantee that their golden child receives the fundraising/media coverage/state support/delegate count that secures them GOP nomination quick, fast and in a hurry. Trump and Trump alone rips all that to shreds.
Trump's candidacy is not prevailing against a headwind of opposition. It's being carried along by a tailwind of support. And what's amusing is watching the GOPe try to insert these other characters into his tailwind as though its theirs, and that includes (insert favorite name here). The reason he has so much support is that he doesn't have his hand out waiting for others to fill it with cash. Everyone see this and knows this. While others proclaim to be their own man and are not beholden to big moneyed interests, Trump is actually that guy! Every other candidate running is holding his wallet open waiting for others to fill it while trying to convince us that this isn't happening and that includes Ted Cruz. Not The Donald. All of America sees this and loves it because we are sick and tired of having our intelligence insulted! At least with President Donald we won't have a POTUS who dashes off to fundraisers while Iran is starting a shooting war with Israel.
If Trump ends up with the nomination in spite of all that is arrayed against him and selects Cruz as a running mate, that, for me, would burnish a whole lot of conservative bonafides. Would it for you?
