Trump is single-handedly shifting the debate back to what used to be the center, and they hate him for that.

Trump defenders claim to support him because he is the most conservative candidate in the race (except for maybe Cruz) and that all the others are in the center, i.e. GOPe, RINO sellouts. What do you mean by Trump is moving the debate back to the center? Isn't that what all the others in the race are accused of doing and which Trump supporters find so heinous?

Not at all.

I’m not sure Trump is a conservative, so that isn’t why I like what he is doing.

The GOPe position before Trump started going off was that we need “comprehensive immigration reform.”

That was the stance for all of the candidates. “We all support amnesty, but let’s not argue about the details.”

Because of Trump, all of the candidates have been forced to talk about immigration and whether they support amnesty. This moved that debate from the left back to the center.

Because Trump is willing to take off the gloves and fight, they have all been forced to drop their GOPe masks and show who they are. And what we’ve seen is that many other candidates who were trying to skate by on a shallow reputation of “being conservative” have proven themselves to be Democrat friendly.

That’s what I like about Trump, that he’s a fighter and won’t “play nice” with the Democrats. We’ve had enough of these democrat-lite GOPers. We need someone who will fight back.
