For being such a smart guy, Krauthammer is wrong about a lot of stuff.
People think Sour Kraut is a wiz-kid because he’s in a wheelchair, received a medical degree and doesn’t smile. That’s all there is too it. He has never been right on most issues and brings an annoying supercilious attitude to most of his opinions. Be gone!
Krauthammer is wrong by design. He is fully aware of the global nightmare of Islam. However, he is carrying out orders to take out all non-establishment approved candidates every time he writes an article or utters a word into a microphone.
I don’t think it is theologically possible for Islam to reform.
Of course, Carson did not call for the enactment of a law disqualifying Muslims from serving in public office, which is what the religious-test clause actually forbids. He merely offered his personal opinion that it would not be wise for Americans to elect a Muslim president.
This one is so outrageous, I quit watching him (and the rest of Fox).
Reformed? Mohammedism cannot be fixed. Their book is a war manual. I sincerely believe that there are many Mohammedans who want nothing more than to live in peace. But it's the 10's of millions who hate themselves and everyone else.

Krauthammer is no smarter than any other yakyak class pontificator. Being disabled just makes him trendy and oh so diverse for his haute kultur handlers.
Like Juan Williams, he is a token and too dull to realize it.
There are many GOP pundits who are ruining their good name and franchise with their attacks on Trump, Carson, Fiorina. There’s a whole news organization (fox) that’s rapidly losing its prestige.
Great article. His days at National Review are probably numbered.
Krauthammer reminds me of a very old and large snapping turtle.
Like any smart polemicist, Dr. Krauthammer seeks to set the predicate upon which he will inevitably prevail on the ultimate conclusion. In this case he defines the Constitution as a didactic instrument which implies the edification of the populace through the only acceptable politically correct channel open to 21st-century man, toleration.
But McCarthy is onto his game and declines to accept the premise. The Constitution is not a didactic instrument, especially not for the people, its purpose is precisely the opposite in many respects. The First Amendment tells us that there are areas where the people are free to be wrong, to be politically incorrect, or, to decline to participate in a suicide pact. The Constitution is quite specific when it undertakes to relieve the people of making fine distinctions and very generous in ensuring the people the broadest scope to make those distinctions themselves when appropriate.
Andrew McCarthy comes in right behind Mark Stein and Pat Buchanan as the finest and most insightful of our present-day commentators.
Correct. Islam by its very tenants cannot, can never be ‘reformed’.
McCarthy - only trustworthy NR/NRO columnist to my mind. A great mind and experienced with his prosecutions of terrorists etc.
I quit Kraut, Bolling, Gutfeld months ago for their flippancy about Cruz, their arrogant dismissal of him, their perpetuation that he is a bomb thrower, etc.
The same number of Christians who go to Mecca and proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Even so called ‘peaceful or moderate’ muslims pay a tax to their mosques which goes to support Islamic soldiers where ever they are waging jihad.
Hits the nail on the head. Islam is not just merely a religion but is a political philosophy.
Wrong about Krauthammer being influential though. Think his influence has shrunk dramatically recently. His credibility is deeply tarnished.
