Look it up, please!~ It does not mean “name calling”- from the Latin- ad (at) hominem (person)-— ad hominem. an argument directed at the person as opposed to the issue.

Now, why did you do so? I’m curious.

Agreed.

I was half-listening to Fox, and Luntz was saying something like this is why Cruz is a first term senator and such a rock star, or so successful, something like that...people connect with him.

Yeah, that’s why one shouldn’t place much reliance on the current polls as to Cruz-— We know him— most people don’t. When they do, many will come ‘round.

Cruz is the only conservative in the race.

"Don’t credit Cruz with doing things that he hasn’t done - like he is some kind of hero or something."

Irony alert, LOL.

Remember Boehner's recent remark---he was glad "that jackass" was running for Prez and out of Washington so he couldn't tell Boehner how to do his job.

Who doesn’t stand with Cruz?

Jeepers. You gotta have some pretty rarified criteria not to back this guy. He’s the real thing.

I'm not backing Cruz because he's simply not going to be elected President. It's just not going to happen.

Cruz is nonetheless playing a very interesting game of chess. As a Senator, he has somehow become the de facto leader of the House. How the hell did this happen? LOL!

My dream position for Senator Cruz? Replacing the aging and soon to be retiring Ruth Bader Ginsberg. If not this, Attorney General.

He won't be President but he can still do very great things.

Ted Cruz is this nation’s last hope. Trump serves a purpose in destroying the GOP-e, calling out pussies for being pussies, and giving a voice to conservative viewpoints ignored by the Lamestream Media, but he ultimately does not have a proven commitment to conservatism. Cruz is the man who will make America great again, and Cruz is the man who will take credit in making liberals either into conservatives or too terrified to reveal their true intentions.

Just an observation....doesn’t a candidate actually have to poll higher than third or fourth place to win? And wouldn’t we want our candidate to win on their own merits and ideas, not because someone else “cleared the field” for them?

Your candidate likes Cruz, and I notice also you also claim to be a Trump/Cruz supporter yet, when you appear on the Cruz threads today, it seems like you do it just to spoil them, whats up with that?

Your candidate says Cruz is a great guy, why do you feel the need to attack Cruz, or is this really about the Cruz supporters attacking your guy?

Clue us in because it seems like you’re having a bad day.

Lastly, I don’t see how you can not give Cruz at least some credit for putting some of the pressure on Bohner.

For me, Cruz is the only guy in the contest where you know what you're voting for.

Trump means well and is a sincere patriot, but voting for him is a crap shoot. Where he stands on Obamacare, for example -- does he even call it that? Has he ever talked about Obamacare? That's a deal breaker, for me. I refuse to vote for a guy who's willing to go along with Obamacare or some improved version of it.

Every authentic American conservative should listen to this and forgive the first four or five minutes, where Cruz comes off as same ol' same ol'. When he answers the question about repealing and replacing Obamacare, he takes off.

Trump is supposed to have guts. Here, Cruz says things like:

Democrats have batted almost 1000 when it comes to Supreme Court nominees. Every Supreme Court nominee they've put forward votes like a radical leftist nutcase. Republicans, we bat about 500. About half of the Republican supreme court justices actually honor their oaths and defend the Constitution. The other half are screaming train wreck disasters."

My favorite part is where he talks indirectly about Romney in 2012 following a 2010 election where running on the issue of repealing Obamacare won big --

We sought out and nominated the one person on the planet who had actually designed and implemented a plan just like Obamacare. Literally, there are seven billion people on the face of planet Earth. We could have could have walked up to anyone and said, "Sir have you designed implemented a plan like Obamacare? No? You're our guy!"

Trump gets kudos for talking big like a rooster, and called "controversial" for it.

Cruz soldiers toward victory. You know what you vote FOR when you vote for him.

I'm not backing Cruz because he's simply not going to be elected President.

We need to elect someone like Romney who will win the moderates and independents and cruze to victory. That Romney was a sure thing.

Lets make Cruz, one of the most leading conservatives in the country, one of nine stodgy justices where his voice will be drowned out. Wow! that is a wonderful plan. It will take Cruz's voice out of the political arena, and he will not be a threat to the GOPe power structure or the crony capitalist gravy train, or common sense, mainstream leaders like Jeb Bush. Great idea!

Lets not vote for him, then he will really not be elected.

I like Cruz, He is my second choice. He’d be my first choice if I thought he could win the Presidency. I don’t. He will make an excellent VP for Trump, a merging of business brilliance with legal brilliance, & be an even better follow-on President to Trump.

But Cruz can’t win this time. His current appeal is to conservatives alone. There isn’t time/money to build the large following that Trump has built in, especially since Trump sucks the “oxygen” out of the entire campaign. If Trump drops out, the GOPe will ensure Jeb is the winner. Cruz cannot fight them alone; he doesn’t have the money.

With his celebrity & his manner, Trump can win the Presidency. He appeals to a broad range of Americans across parties/ideologies. He has no political & big money IOUs. He is the anti-Washington the people desperately want. He abhors the waste, incompetence, & cronyism of US politics.

If the general election is between Clinton, Biden, or Sanders, vs. Cruz, it will be a partisan political race with no certain outcome - another Bush vs. Gore. But if Trump is the Republican candidate, it will be America against the elitist politicians of BOTH parties. Trump will win by a landslide.

We need a “no bashing/no trolling” rule for the Cruz threads, don’t we? How come we never had a “no bashing/no trolling” rule for some of our best conservatives like Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz, but we have one for a newly “conservative” politician.
