I am okay with women as SEALs - if the women pass the exact same tests and training that men have always faced to become SEALs. My guess: there are no women alive who could succeed in SEAL selection and training without modifications, not because Navy special forces are sexist but because there are so few men alive who have the upper body strength and the endurance to pass, and women biologically have less of each.
We can already make bank that it won’t be that way, because Mabus has already dismissed an entire study as a “lie” when the people who know their business told him it wasn’t feasible.
And that is why the standards will be lowered.
