I hope you’re right, but consider this from the fox story this morning:

“Boehner’s decision removes the possibility of a damaging vote to strip him of his speakership, a scenario that grew more likely amid the conservative clamor over a shutdown. “

If he really wants to resign, why not now? Plenty of time to “change his mind” by the end of October - a month after the new gov’t fiscal year is set to begin.

So when there’s no gov’t shutdown, he’ll again be “a hero”.

I have no reason to believe something boner says, even if it’s someone I agree with.
