You could say the same thing about Trump and his casino acquisitions. But, there is more to being a CEO than what you spend the companies’ money on. Fiorina seemed to be looking down the road with her strategy for HP. And, if you look at the five years after Fiorina left HP, shares of the company did really well. Surely, some of the credit of that has to go to Fiorina and her acquisition of Compaq.
