Some civilized societies do manage to accommodate large segments of believers in this faith system... but they also tend to be harsh and strict. Singapore for example. They do things in the name of keeping order that Americans probably would never countenance in a million years.
I would advocate that government should not be schooling our children anyway. At most, government should give every parent a voucher so they can send their children to the school of their choice. Then schools may cater to whatever demographic they please and parents can respond by shopping around.
