Question: What would the media's reaction be if Russell Wilson were a Muslim who always praised Allah, and Rodgers mocked Allah, instead of God? Think all hell would break loose?
I know dumb question.
He was mocking a Christian. Because they are easy targets in this Godless society.
To me it’s a groaner. Kind of sounds smart aleck. (I knew a preacher who would use that kind of groaner from time to time in his sermons, before getting down to brass tacks.)
It is, however, kind of in the fine tradition of irony. Christians and Jews can talk like this. Muslims can’t.
Aaron Rogers criticized for comments on God and the Packer/Seahawk game.
Personally, I don’t consider this “mocking”, not any more than Wilson’s comments about the Seahawk win over the Packers last year. Many football players play to God for protection befoe and after every game. Is that wrong? And are they wrong to thank God after a win? I don’t think so. God wants to hear from us about the tiniest things, according to a priest at my church.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Man. How sad. One of my favs... But he did go to Berkeley, and is hooked up with a Hollywood libtard actress, so not totally unexpected.
He went to Berkeley but chose to get a degree from some diploma mill in Wisconsin. He’s a moron.
There is nothing here, folks. It is neither for God or against God. Rodgers is merely saying that he did not think God was worrying about NFL football games. I agree with him.
Seriously if we pray to God for deliverance it ought to be for deliverance from evil, and there is plenty of it in the world. We ought not to worry about whether God is a Packers fan or a Seahawks fan.
God IS a Packers fan. He’s on the waiting list for season tickets.
He’s ninth on the list.
I'm a Hawks fan, and I think it's clever.
We may have our next great rivalry.
