Yes it was the Carly’s Free arena show that night. Now that she exited stage left she can assume her lower poll position.

In my opinion, that’s not exactly the way the world works. I think we need to understand the dramatic narrative process. The media love a good drama, with beginning, middle and end. The best dramatic plots come from Greek tragedy, where the hero eventually crashes and burns due to his hubris.

So, in order that the media may build a great dramatic plot around Fiorina, she’ll get lots of TV and print coverage — at least, as long as the news firms’ bigwigs see that she gives them high ratings. Simultaneously, her poll numbers will continue to rise.

But eventually, as Carly’s overweening self-confidence begins to grate, the audience may lose interest and her ratings may top out. At that point, I think the MSM will pour on the negative stories and cause Carly to crash and burn.

Then the narrative will move on to the next “flavor of the month” candidate, and the process starts all over again.
