Sorry, I’m not interested in your attempts to justify this latest Trump fail.

Cruz perfect? No candidate is, of course. The difference is, he has a solid conservative record and principles, unlike Trump.

And I’m sorry to burst your bubble, and take away your childish, pouting “You’re just jealous!” meme, but I’m not at all worried about Ted. At one point in his Texas Senate campaign, he was polling at -1, according to one estimate and allowing for the margin of error. He had absolutely no name recognition, and was running against a very popular, well-known, wealthy, self-funding opponent.

Cruz was told repeatedly that he was a fool for running because he had zero chance. Yet he won handily. And that is because he knows how to run, in his words, a “modern grassroots guerilla campaign”, which is exactly what he’s doing now. While Trump’s tabloid show rolls on, Cruz is laying ground in every state, hiring staff..and the money is rolling in. He plays the long game.

Like Mark Levin said the other night, next year the polls will look nothing like they do now.

So I’ll stick with the Constitutional conservative. You go ahead and follow your liberal reality show star who would put a Muslim in his cabinet or on his ticket. I have no doubt some of you would be fine with it if Trump did it because, well..Trump!

"One student told Trump that she considered Muslim-Americans to be an important segment of the country. They asked whether the billionaire businessman would consider putting a Muslim in his Cabinet or on his ticket.

"Oh, absolutely," Trump responded. "No problem with that."

Trump also told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" he has friends who are Muslims -- but that the religion's extreme elements are responsible for terrorist attacks.

"We do have a problem with radical Muslims, there's no question about that," Trump said Sunday.
