Damn right we’re angry. About that “low information” crap, though. I have a PhD. My friend who likes Trump has a Ph.D. Another friend with a Ph.D. likes Trump-—not his #1 but acceptable. How many Ph.D.s do you need for the group not to be “low information?”

I'm not into this thing of bashing Trump supporters, honestly. But I do have to ask, and it's an honest question. Trump has displayed more than a few liberal tendencies in the days prior to his campaigning. If you like the few positive things Trump is claiming (quite loudly to his defense), why would you not support someone who is real like Cruz?

I see the weakness in Cruz, and that one weakness is his seeming inability to act as tough as he really is. the guy is a damned fire hose to the DC crowd, he knows the machine and he knows how to take it down... without making bogus claims that he could never, in a million years, pull off without support in congress. Maybe I'm missing something about Cruz. If I am, I wish the hell I knew what it was. I just can't see any obvious reason why someone would support Trump over Cruz. and I honestly mean that in a constructive manner... I'm not calling anyone stupid.

I like your comment but would add my own thoughts. Anger in time subsides. Certainly there is anger in what Trump correctly identifies as a movement, but people like me who have gone past anger are just finished. Finished with lies, empty promises, contempt towards us, and a willfully inability to show a spine and stand for something even if it costs a politician his precious polling points.

There are not enough high information DT supporters to ever convince them

DT does not engage in attempting to convince them.

My lib friends (childhood friends, cousins with whom we’ve agreed to disagree and to not talk politics) complain loud about Trump, they see him winning they even say it, when they say idiotic things about him and his supporters is when I practice my ever improving art of changing the subject.

They are pissed. But remarkably, not scared, like they were with W

And they have nothing with which to defend Obama. They have nothing good to say about obama. Nor his wife. Nor his staff.

They have educations. They are LIV precisely because they refuse to read conservative views. We read the tripe line put out. These people demand that we see them as informed because, I heard recently , ‘I watch MSNBC’

And they’re all New Yorkers. They are aware of Trump from way back

One said to me this week, ‘Donald Trump is going to be the next president, ay yai Yai! You know’ she said, ‘he inherited all his money from his father’

A smart woman, saying this. I can not engage. Not only will she be put to shame, she won’t take it. She’ll scream at me. Once they start with the emotion, the libs, I’ve gone too far

He is worth 9 billion, or close enough for him to claim that. His father did well in NYC real estate 200 million. That’s just not 9 billion

You can’t reach them. You cannot convince them. But you can take control of the country back from them and put it back into the hands of we the people via the rule of law and the founding principals. And we’d better do it

Guys like trump know instinctively when they’re dealing with a lost cause

Impeccable peer-reviewed empirical studies by well-qualified biostatisticians have found time and again that the collective wisdom of any group is inversely proportional to the number of Post-Hole Diggers in that group.
