The two women are flashing the 'peace sign', but the kid in back is showing the back of his hand with the same two fingers extended. I believe this has a significantly different meaning -- one that's not connoting peace, as we know it.
Better?

Zero beat him to the punch.

Bingo. Back of the hand means “up yours.”

“How did a homemade alarm clock, go off in the middle of class, if it had to be plugged in?”
It had a 9volt batter backup. Apparently it was not so much “homemade” as the guts of a commercial clock/radio.

“That was a count-down LCD display in the cover, right? “
I don’t know. I thought I heard the kid say something like that but I’ve not seen it in print.

Exactly, thus this wasn't a kid trying to build a homemade clock - it was just another activist muslim building a dummy bomb - then suing to frighten others. This is merely a preparation for a real bomb to be taken into a school, killing dozens or more, because schools will have been intimidated into silence.
Intimidation is the Democratic/Muslim way.

I was not in any way criticizing the actions of the school or police. I was just pointing out that it was not in a “suitcase.” It very well could have been a setup, dry-run or similar. Or it could have been an overzealous 14-year-old wanting to show off or cause a commotion.

Maybe it does. But that is the traditional British sign for “Victory.”

I think about 20 years ago, maybe less, Bush Sr. was riding past a group of protestors in some foreign country and he shot that “screw you” back of the hand “V” sign at them, which he knew would piss them off.
To: Hodar
Whoever thought of using a METAL SUITCASE to make a “clock”....or using a Pressure Cooker to KILL CHILDREN!!

I only know it as the victory sign. Since the brat’s family is from the Sudan - long under British rule - I’m assuming he likes to flash the victory sign (caliphate coming!) to us infidels. The other two are flashing the peace sign.
