Theoretically, that's a valuation problem, not an accounting problem.

Can you cite some proof of home loans granted to unemployed people? If not, stfu.

If they weren’t unemployed at the time of the loan, they were certainly underemployed and exceptions were made to the normal lending standards in order to fullfill government mandates that a very large percentage of fannie/freddie loans be “related to affordable housing” or in minority neighborhoods IOW where underemplyed persons were disproportionately represented. As the bubble burst, the underemployed became unemployed and home mortgages were defaulted on and this was a major contributing factor to the crisis. This is all old news.
