Preparing to be that 3rd-party spoiler candidate that Bill Kristol and others in the GOPe will be looking for if Trump wins the nomination?

He’s certainly already set himself up not to be able to back Trump at all in such a situation—and he’s always been notably ambitious (such that he might not mind throwing the campaign to the Dems).

Yep—Jindal’s vicious offensive against Trump has shown just how much he’s in the GOPe’s pocket. (Desperately needs them for funding.)

Any third party talk by Jindal at this point is not coincidental—and it is preparation for Trump potentiallly hanging on for the GOP nomination.

Jindal is so right and it is a sad testimony of this electorate that he isn’t a lot higher in the polls.

That food is why the GOPe and Jindal may be laying the groundwork for a third-party run. They could have in mind a Kasich/Jindal ticket, as Kasich is backing away from supporting Trump as the nominee as well.

All this of course just emergency preparation in case they can’t take Trump down.

The GOPe would be more than happy to throw the election if it meant pinning the loss on Trump and in their minds getting their rebellious base back in line, while in their minds taking back their party.

You’ve got to be kidding—Jindal is entirely the property of the RNC.

I agree completely, HL.

I never imagined a couple of months ago that I’d be backing Trump. But Trump/Cruz could set this country up for 12-16 years and really provide us with what we need.

Jindal is in the bag for the GOPe, and it’s no accident that he’s mentioning going third-party now. When Bill Kristol, Kasich, etc., are already starting to talk about not backing Trump, you know the Establishment is putting contingency plans in place.

And from his trashing of Trump to talking about going 3rd party over PP, Bobby is part of that.

“The GOPe would be more than happy to throw the election if it meant pinning the loss on Trump...”

If what you say is true then the RNC has gone mad, & the rest of us are royally screwed!

I wonder how this relates to the push to decrease conservatives’ influence in the party...

Bobby Jindal is.

Jindal has always been for the GOPe. They put him up with what proved a disastrous response to Obama’s SOTU in part of trying to promote him years ago.

But they’ve been trying to slot him among the other “conservative” vote splitters in this race that they ridiculously overpopulated for just that purpose. Trying to eviscerate Trump was such a move, as is talking now about a Trumped up, pro-life excuse to leave the GOP—and no doubt run in the John Anderson role as a third party, should Trump get the nomination—just as the GOPe did years ago against Reagan.

Either in this race or as the John Anderson, should Trump steal the nomination, Jindal is charged with splitting off some of the base/tea party/religious right vote. That’s what matches his rhetoric and personal inclination.

Hell, I left over Boehner!
I am very conservative - but do not want to be associated with being within the same party as Boehner.

If they’re not willing to shut down the government over the gutting of live babies and selling their body parts, then just what would they be willing to do it over?

Precisely.

I'd add that the GOP's REFUSAL to even TRY speaks volumes to just how disconnected they are from not just their constituent base, but American's overall.

I don't know a single person in my sphere of contacts, of EITHER the D's or R's that thinks PP should continue to be funded by the Federal Government.

In fact, almost to a person those in my sphere of contacts believes PP should be completely shut down, and those who enabled and performed these horrific acts as seen in every PP video should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I think it says quite a bit when those of us in flyover country of just about every political persuasion agree that PP should be gone TODAY.

It also says just how disconnected the criminals in DC are from the American Public. Just my humble opinion.

I can not believe McConnell and boner would ruin this opportunity. What deceivers.

Disagree with Jindel. In this case, one is more likely to make changes through Republican party than the Democratic. Rather than proposing how to fight for change, he is for giving up.
