As a rule, kids (all kids) are undermedicated in the US.

Care to expand on that? Because it's charged that too many lids are getting doped up to make them behave. This study is confined to the ER, I think.

They're getting doped up in the government schools - to make them "behave".

In the ER they don't want to drug them so much as to be unresponsive and unable to assist with diagnosis. So take the edge off, yeah. Put 'em to sleep, no.
