Local police are bought and paid for by the Feds. Let me relate something that happened in the ‘80’s.
There was a guy nicknamed Dynamite Tommy who broke his parole and was ordered to turn himself in. He got nickname by blowing up coal tipples during a strike. He told the Feds he would not turn himself in he would die first.
He had M16 or a AR15 and waited. The state police and county police and the FBI went for him loaded for bear. Who went in first you ask, the county mounties. They knocked down the door and Tommy offed the first 3 or 4 while the FBI and State Police hid behind their cars and shot up the house. They killed Tommy and a 16 year old boy asleep upstairs. This happened in Eastern KY.
The county and city police are cannon fodder and to dumb to know it. Good luck with that and if you are a county cop be sure your life insurance is paid up.
