I think Rick Perry has reached the pinnacle of his competence and is fine as gov of TX. Personally I don’t think he’s that bright.
He just reminds me too much of W. Quiet & reserved. That KILLED US..NOT AGAIN.

He likes to claim the mantle of Reagan, when during the entire presidency of Reagan he was a democrat, who worked for Algore’s campaign in 1988. That proves he’s not too bright.
He is a former governor. Most people outside of Texas and a lot of people in Texas are not aware of our particular governmental structure. Our Governor, unlike most states, don’t have as much power or authority so it’s often difficult to assess whether or not they are as “bright” or capable as their counterparts in other states.
