I can guarantee if you he had said in 2012 what Trump is saying now about the issue, he would have been president and made Obama a one term president.

Anyone could have taken the same immigration stance that Trump did with equal success. Now it is much too late for anyone to attempt to adopt Trump's stance on immigration because no one would believe them, nor should they.
