The manufacture of methamphetamine is sharply down in certain Midwestern states that have had the most trouble with the drug over the years, but it remains as popular as ever with users due to an influx of cheap Mexican imports, according to experts.

On "The Big Bang Theory", the Nebraska character makes occasional home-town references to meth, her brother "the chemist", etc.

Guess I never really thought about it, save for when the odd story pops up about a guy shoplifting the ingredients and equipment at a Walmart, then cooking it in the store's bathroom.
