“Low-energy” or not, I think Dr. Carson would be a brilliant Secretary of Health and Human Services. His plan for fixing ObamaCare is simple and low-cost. He KNOWS that the “education” offered to most city kids is a disgrace.
So I would have greatly preferred for Mr. Trump to say, “If I should be elected President, I would be very proud to have Dr. Carson on my team.”
We Conservatives have rightly complained about the Senate’s “pre-emptive surrenders” to Obama. I don’t see any “virtue” in “pre-emptive bridge destruction” either.

That time could yet come. It looks like Cruz and Trump already are all but visibly planning to be running mates. Which could be a superbly good strategy for Cruz to get some conservatism with teeth in the door, without having to sell it to America as the main course.
No, he can’t nor should he say that. Right now Carson is still in this race and Trump must treat him as a competitor - not demean his candidacy. Ben doesn’t want to hear that - he wants to win too.

The way Carson presents himself when asked a question, his hesitating and studdering, and closing his eyes, it’s hard to imagine him running a dept in Walmart, much less anything that requires brain power.......and yes I know he’s a doctor, but no one would ever believe it by listening to his speech cadence.
