It sounds like he had too much self-respect to do that. The principle that some things are just for men or just for women is important enough to do the right thing and not play games.

Because it would look like deliberate sabotage and they would be fined accordingly.
The solution here is to a cut that would be offered a man. No shampoos, no conditioners. Over the ears and short on back.
If they don’t want a cut according to how you can cut it, that’s ok.
