My feelings, exactly. Every part of your sentence.

Goldman Sachs isn’t as concerning, to me, as is Club for Growth and Woodforest Bank.

Club for Growth is the cheap labor Express group that just tried - and failed miserably - to give Trump the shakedown.

Woodforest Bank has all of the Walmart banking locations. They’re affiliated with Western Union, in a global agreement, for money transfer services....aka illegal aliens sending money back home to the homeland.

Donors? I see them more as graft, extortion and bribes on a massive scale. It’s legal but is this what we want? Folks handing many millions over to someone want big league favors in return. This is a biggest corruption factor in our political system. This reeks bad. The extortionist call the shots.

In addition another massive conflict of interest to allow those employed by government to vote in an election which is directly related to their own government jobs, unions, incomes and bosses.

I’m a bit confused. If Cruz voted for TPA fast track authority, why would he not continue to support it now?

Maybe you could answer 85 for me. I read 77 but didn’t see a reason why Cruz apparently changed his mind. Thanks SD.

And that’s when Cruz’ numbers and support started falling .....

it wasn’t just Donald Trump coming on the scene....
It was a ground swell of conservatives.....like myself...who said..
...wait a minute, something’s not right here!!!

And Trump filled the void!

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is the name of the 12-nation trade talks that are currently ongoing. There is no deal, though Obama administration officials say they are closing in on one. President Barack Obama has made reaching a deal on TPP one of the top goals of his second term and a cornerstone of his foreign and domestic policy agenda. It is also a top priority of Republican leadership in the House and Senate. Many Democrats, stung by past major trade agreements, are skeptical of the direction of the negotiations. But it’s important to note, again, there is technically no deal ... yet.

Think about negotiating with 11 other countries. They’ve all got their own politics, their own legislatures, and their own powerful industries. How could you possibly get all 11 to agree on the same principles, let alone a specific trade deal? It’s not easy. So it would make sense to create a mechanism to try and streamline the process, right? Meet the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). TPA is not the trade deal (again, that’s TPP). It is, more or less, a procedural mechanism designed to ease the passage of any deal. TPA, also known as “fast-track,” doesn’t prevent lawmakers from voting on a final deal, but it does prevent amendments. Obama administration officials say explicitly they need TPA to reach a final agreement on TPP. Other nations, as Obama’s team explains it, simply don’t trust that the U.S. can get a deal through Congress untouched without it. (This is a serious point of disagreement between Obama and Democrats opposed to the trade deal.)

While TPA is not (repeat: is not) the actual trade deal, it does require legislation and a vote. Democrats opposed or who are wavering on trade see that bill as one of the last points of leverage should Obama actually finalize a deal. If TPA passes and Obama’s team reaches an agreement on TPP, there’s little confidence within the ranks of those opposed to a deal that momentum could be halted at that point. For a unified labor movement, progressive activists, and Democrats opposed to the deal, that has painted TPA as a must-kill item on the agenda.

“Ted tries to act humble, but I see just as much ego in him as I do Trump - he believes he has all the answers and is the smartest guy ever. “

The fact that Trump is listening to Sessions - and learning from him, shows me he is a leader - one who can pick good advisors and can delegate. He also changes his stance on refugees, so he isn’t stuck on his own opinion because of ego.

He’s also consulting with Forbes and Laffler on taxes.

Can’t get any better than that!

".he even said Sessions was wrong."

Ted Cruz jointly published an opinion piece in the WSJ, along with Paul Ryan, advocating for TPA, which makes the threshold for passing TPP the same as the Iran deal.

He ESSENTIALLY voted for TPP, whatever it ends up being. He also very publicly advocated for this Constitutional bypass and abuse of the American people.

He turned on it, largely because McConnell lied to him at a meeting. I think we all remember the sparks that flew over that...You can go back and read what was said, but it tore a rift between Cruz and McConnell that will never heal.

TPA was only the fast track,,,Each of the trade deals TPP and some others, still have to get through the Senate, but they can’t amend them under fast track.

Frankly, I don’t think they could rationally amend them anyway because it’s all done in secret.

“First his immigration paper, now he’s reiterating his TPP position?”

Deporting illegals within 2 years isn’t conservative?

And opposing TPP isn’t?

TPA was given to a number of presidents..

If it was a Constitutional bypass and an abuse of the American people, it happened a long time ago.

The kenyan intends to dump the TPP crap sandwich on the GOP right before the primaries start, IMO. He’s trying to destroy the GOP as a viable opposition party to the demomarxist agenda.
