Bob Ross was the same way. He permed his hair in the 70’s to save $$ and then became famous. He was reluctant to change his “signature” coif, despite not really liking it!
It is odd you mention Bob. My 6 year old great granddaughter loves watching his shows and tries to paint like him with the happy little clouds or whatever. Have not seen a show in years. She is our artist and her cousin is our actress.
