To the best of my knowledge, the vast majority of Syria's Jews left in 1948 and 1949. Many came to the US, most of the rest to Israel (some in Mexico, I know). Virtually all of the rest left by the end of 1967.

I was waxing philosophical. I don’t see how we vet any of them either and there are no Jews. The best thing to do is don’t take any of them. Let the Europeans take them as they are hell bent on suicide anyway.
