The circumstances of Mr. Gabay’s shooting were still under investigation. He was shot around 3:40 a.m., near the corner of Bedford Avenue and Sullivan Place, about two blocks from the east side of Prospect Park.

What in the world was the dude doing outside at 3:40 am in NYC? That in itself is just begging to be mugged or killed.
