It’s like Weimar Germany, ultimately there reaches a point where Democracy is pointless. Only a matter of which tyranny takes over, if it wasn’t Hitler, it would have been the Communists.

The argument that Hitler made against representative democracy is that no single individual is ever held responsible. When things go wrong it becomes a finger pointing contest, and no one ever pays the consequences.

Of course putting a single person in charge has its drawbacks as well.
