Trump had to take that position.
His first plank is "We are a nation of laws. Enforce the law (starting with illegal immigration and sanctuary cities)."
what about his comment about Ted Cruz Birther Issue?
*******
No harm, no foul.
THANK YOU, BOSS.
(Couldn’t resist using my CAPS keys on that ;^)
Probably. I think he’d also make a great VP to Trump. He needs more leadership skills, more experience at high level executive decision making, and more international experience. I think Trump would see to it that he gets all that.
Cruz is a brilliant lawyer and his speech style reflects that - it was honed to speak to jurors or judges but falls flat in front of a large audience. This is not a criticism of Cruz's ideas but I think that is why he can't translate his credentials into popularity. He maybe should be VP to Trump. Learn the art of mass media from him as his VP and serve to influence The Donald when he needs advice (as a lawyer he could be a great consigliere).
Amen Brother Jim!
Many of us have been for the Trump/Cruz ticket for weeks into months.
Please check my tagline.
You have lived in Marin too long.
Wake up!
One of my very favorites, of all of your great work ;-)
and 50-50 Trumps screws the pooch bigtime on this one:
I think both Trump and Cruz genuinely want to straighten out the mess that America is in, and that’s good enough for me. That’s why they have formed an alliance — not because they would always agree on how it should be done, but because they have the same end goals. You have to respect that kind of putting the country first — by both men.
Amen.
your boy is even money to screw the pooch on this issue....I mean, 50-50 he steps into a steaming pile. Do you understand the significance of this issue? Do you have any idea how many jobs, and how many small companies, would be destroyed by this? Does Trump?
Time will tell: http://www.wsj.com/articles/labor-board-ruling-puts-more-companies-on-the-hook-for-temporary-workers-1440704018
Trump's pitch is amnesty too, with a dishonest twist in the marketing emphasizing only deportation that gets conservatives thinking wishfully that it's something else. Worse, e-Verify puts the Federal government between every employer and prospective employee. It's effectively a Federal work permit, a massive usurpation of power.
Now you know why Trump gets so much free air time while Cruz goes begging: to snooker conservatives into supporting a proposal that was the Hegelian synthesis all along the continued path to fascist tyranny. Sadly, Cruz himself could use a Constitutional primer as to the alternatives.
There are both simple and effective means to round up illegals and they are effectively what the Second Amendment was all about. Call up the national unorganized militia with a Congressional letter of marque and reprisal offering payment for every illegal deported with heavy penalties for false arrest and harassment, effectively a bounty system. Interestingly, letters of marque have allowed operations on foreign soil, so we wouldn't even need detention camps on American soil. If bounty systems could extirpate the passenger pigeon (they did), they can get rid of illegals. Jihadis too.
The Founders gave us the tools we need. We just need to learn how to use them, and get our collective heads out of our tucki.
See tag line.
There are some who have checklists for each candidate, however, most vote the character, the personality, they most identify with.
Donald Trump is tapping into a vast reservoir of pent up anger and disappointment in the current regime, and see him as someone who actually is willing to call it what it is, and is not afraid of media and pundit arrows.
He is not absolute, but sure is nice to see him kick ass. I would like to see it played out.
Trump is causing ‘splody heads, everywhere....even here ;-)
The adulation for Trump now is at near-worship levels.
At? I'd say so.
“his arrogance offends me as hes not half as smart as his mouth makes him out to be”
Lot’s of people said the same of people like Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, Limbaugh, and Cruz.

Oh...
nevermind...
grin, humor intended and I hope received.
Like you, I prefer Ted Cruz. However, it is also way early in the race for me to pick a candidate and claim to support no other.
I'm glad Trump is in the race and bringing up the issues that he has. He has helped bring to the open discussion topics important to me.
