“Diamond” and “Silk” as co-press secretaries. That would be a hoot. I love it....and them.

I agree on all points, and Cruz is my real favorite...but he is from a gimme Republican state. Does he really help the ticket?

His knowledge of the Constitution is what is important to me; along with his stand for liberty and religious freedom.
No other candidate understand America as well as Cruz.

Trump is a long shot to win the nomination. It is four solid months before anyone begins casting votes. Peaked too early. Hate to break it to you, but it does not appear he has peaked yet.
If Trump is the longshot, then who is the favorite?
If you give me longshot odds on Trump, how much of a bet are you willing to cover?
I'll bet you $100 if you give me 20-1 odds. The winnings will be contributed to Free Republic.

Wait till the media decides to destroy Trump. Hes got better than 30 years of media ammo hanging over his head and oddly enough the media hasnt seen fit to use it.....yet. Where do you think Megyn Kelly's mean to women meme came from? They sifted thru tons of old Apprentice episodes to find that woman on her knees quote. And what came of it? Trumps popularity took off, his previously high negatives plummeted - and the media is gobstopped. Frank Lutzs knees are shaking. They will reload and try it again, and it will fail again - precisely for the reasons Sundance cited in the article that started this thread. Trumps support is not really for Trump as Trump - its for Trump as none of the above - and no deference to 'the MSM.'
IMHO we will have a bad hangover from this bender with Trump - but we just refuse to accept the #$@% sandwich we would get otherwise.

Why? Why are we bothering with primaries then?"Primaries are done. I called it for Trump the other day. They are just a formality now.
No other candidate has the votes to win 8 primaries. So Trump will go to the convention as the only possible nominee.

Well, yeah, if it goes down like 1980 did. Priebus and Cheney and the Wall St vultures will corner Trump and tell him if he doesn’t pick Jeb Bush as his VP they will make sure that Biden will beat him in the general election.

Wait till they decide to get around to the real meaty stuff like “blacks are lazy” and “I don’t want black guys counting my money”.
The media has treated Mr Delicate Flower with kid gloves so far. They’ve prodded him just enough for the bread and circuses to continue. If you manage to nominate him then the real show will begin. They’ll grind him into a thin paste and I intend to remind his “followers” every single day as it happens.
