From my understanding, Assad is like Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal dictator but has brought very much needed stability to his country .
That’s true, he maintained stability in the area. Let’s face it you are never going to get Mr. Congeniality in that part of the world. But he isn’t the raving lunatics that the mullahs in Iran are.
