I could care less if he is protective of Syrian Christians.

How are you calling yourself a conservative? You could care less Assad's country protects Christians? What "moral" foreign policy do you advocate when that is your stance?

If we don't protect Christians, what the hell is the point of our nation's foreign policy morality?

I have an update:

Greece says Russia picks Syria aid flight route to east of Greece

Russia plans to use an air route to the east of Greece to transport aid into Syria, meaning the use of Greek airspace for such flights is no longer an issue, a Greek government spokesman said on Tuesday.

The United States had asked Greece to deny Russia the use of Greek air space for the flights, a spokesman for the foreign ministry in Athens said on Monday.

You confuse morality with foreign policy. If the USA had a morally superior foreign policy we would be allies with Saudi Arabia.

We are allies with Saudi Arabia.

And while in the early days of the so called Syrian revolution it was spun to show that the Syrian uprising was about secular democrats trying to over throw a dictator - it came out over due time that this not the case:

We will agree to disagree. How Syria's civil war began, in one devastating timeline

I agree, Erdogan is like Barzini in The Godfather. Everybody is focused on others’, but all along it’s been Erdogan orchestrating this.

Our foreign policy relationship with Saudi Arabia is not a moral one.

I have heard and read that Erdogan is now one of Obama’s closest friends. This might explain why Obama has done such a fine job fighting ISIS.

By the way, I haven’t heard any news of us fighting ISIS in a long time. Are we still fighting them? It’s certainly not important to the media.

As in "Keep your friends close, but your enemies even closer."

We are Saudi Arabia’s stooge.

No, we have mutual strategic interests. The Saudis have been very helpful to us in ways that most of the public is not aware of. And as the world's biggest exporter of oil, the importance of Saudi Arabia for the global economy cannot be underestimated.

That oil has come at a severe cost.

So you have now corrected yourself.

Our foreign policy relationship with Saudi Arabia is not a moral one.

Disagree. Yes, we have pragmatic reasons why we have a close relationship with the Saudis, e.g., oil, trade, military partnership, etc., but there is a moral component. We make our views known on human rights issues and do not sacrifice them on the altar of oil.

I have also read that ISIS couldn’t have existed without Turkey. Turkey harbors a lot of the terrorists. Turkey also has a black market for ISIS to sell oil (it’s not like they’re sneaking drugs across the border) and a weapons supply line.

Erdogan has basically looked the other way when it comes to ISIS. The same can be said for his pal Obama.

Remember Greece has thousands of islands to the east of the peninsula. If they go ease they fly over Turkey.

(then again we are talking about a state department run by Kerry and lead by Obama)

Expansion of Islam across the globe.

LOL. The title of the King of Saudi Arabia is Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Two of the three holiest sites in Islam are located in the Kingdom. Millions of pilgrims travel there yearly. The Haj is part of the Koran.

Blaming Saudi Arabia for the expansion of Islam is like blaming the Pope for the spread of Catholicism.

Yes. They dragged us into the war in Kosovo and Bosnia to establish Wahhabism there.
