CHICAGO — Diane Limas says the sound of gunfire has become so common outside her house that she's frequently calling police to complain.
With increasing gang problems to blame, she even makes sure that her adult brother whom she cares for doesn't leave the home dressed in colors that might draw the wrath of gang-bangers.
"I double-lock my doors," she said recently. "I tell my brother to stay away from the windows. I'm calling the police every week."
The rise in violence plaguing Chicago this year has even spread to unlikely communities such as Albany Park, a diverse working-class neighborhood made up of handsome brick bungalows and two-flats.

The defenders came back with:
"Unless you are killed in a car-wreck or are shot, you have a very good chance of living to a ripe old age." They further explained that the gunshot deaths were mostly gangbangers shooting each other, or being killed by police.
They clearly stated that there is so much of this going on that it skews the national statistics.
So the next time some RAT starts going off about gun control and the high number of incidents of gun-violence...

How can this be? I guess Clown Prince nobama didn’t “organize his “home town” from his stint as a community “organizer” there years ago. Anyway...don”t black lives matter there?
Detroit if fortunate in that they have a Police Chief who knows he needs and is appreciative of their help. Imagine what would happen in Chicago if this were true there. Makes me think Chicago politicians just don’t care about what happens to Black people - one murder is just one less person they have to think about.
May have to watch that!

I was there in the 1970’s, graduated from Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago. We had a “practical Christian work” assignment in south Chicago, which required a police escort from the Metro. I saw then how dangerous the south side of Chicago was. And things are much more dangerous now...

While conditions for blacks have deteriorated significantly under Obama, the fact is that any black Dem with take away any black support for Trump. Hate has blinded many of them to the point where they vote for those who would cage them based strictly on racial identity...
