Appears you agree with one of those commenting at the link which was to transfer everyone on disability to welfare because that fund never seems to run out of money.
Not that hard to get a doctor to say you are disabled, suffer from depression or have ADHD. Wonder how many people would claim disability if instead of a monthly check they received $100 a month for maybe six months. If they are truly depressed or suffer from ADHD, they would have funds available which could only be used to see a psychotherapist providing they maintained gainful employment during that time.
Seems like every day we read about monetary awards being made for some really stupid study or grant. If budgets for government agencies only allowed them to spend money for salaries and office supplies, that garbage would come to a halt.
