We can pray Christians will “heed this call” and God move “minds” to understand with clarity what is going on in this case and be there. This is not about making wedding cakes....but far more is on the line.
In my researching further on this case it’s my understanding had Davis ‘Resigned’ it would be surrendering-—a hand over of the lever of power to the truly lawless who will engineer social change by any means necessary.
Had Davis ‘Complied’ in this case would have meant not merely ‘participating in an immoral act’ but also bowing before an ‘unlawful judicial’ oligarchy.
The matter of obedience to authority does not mean and cannot mean participation in evil as some Christians are attempting to frame this.....because the relevant authority, who is legally Davis as an appointed and elected official, is to obey the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The judicial branches power to interpret the law does NOT include the power to rewrite those constitutions.....just as was stated on your other thread.....so she is doing the correct thing....’’’resisting’’’.
I can’t help but remember the many times you’ve mentioned “Resistance” on your threads Jim....it is a mighty and powerful word which jumped off the page in regards to Davis.....as you said this has got to be won.
Thank you very much! We are the resistance!
