In our interconnected, corporate dominated economy we are all spending money with companies and individuals who do not share Christian values. I do not believe it is possible to exist in this economy and not spend money with those who hate/disagree with us. To be sure we can minimize it but I don’t think we can eliminate it.
I think if you find superstar corporations (e.g. Chik-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby) you can make them your chief go-to’s, and that is the right attitude.
This is a different idea than boycotting, however. You aren’t boycotting Colonel Sanders; you’re patronizing Chik-Fil-A.
I've made that point myself on this thread. But as Jim Robinson pointed out "This is a war for God, family, country and we cannot afford to lose." Are we willing to act on that?

I always hear people talk about taking their business somewhere else or of boycotting a corporation or minimizing interaction with it, or divesting etc.
I never hear anyone suggest beating our opponents with the two things that progressives hate the most - Capitalism and Democracy - and the beauty of it is that it is all perfectly legal.
Using Alinkys rules, pick one or two corporate targets whose corporate values offend the sensibilities, isolate them and purchase those company’s stock in large numbers over time while isolating (boycotting) the company. As the boycott has an economic impact on the stock value of the targets, buy even more stock and using the common stocks votes at the next board meeting elect a new corporate board of directors that reflects more preferable values. Hell they send you the ballot for votes in the mail!!!!!
How many people who own stock even bother to cast a vote!
Once this change in leadership is accomplished bring the company back to life with renewed support and patronage.
Think of it! They pay dividends from profits and those dividends (profits) are used to buy even more of their stock and more control of the target. Their own corporate success which more often than not is a function of in-elasticity of demand, is used against them. You then give jobs to your stock holders through ;) attrition,
I’m sure some accountant of like mind out there could find one or more offensive but profitable candidates whose market value doesn’t isolate them from a hostile corporate take over.
Progressives direct people and institutions to divest from businesses they find offensive! NO! Do the exact opposite. Invest!
Here is another example of a strategy that I never hear discussed. The Government - both state and federal - really have no business in marriage. Churches and people should remove themselves entirely from the States marriage regulations and process.
People should get married in the eyes of their Church of choice and Individuals should enter and exit State Sanctioned marriages solely on the basis of the Tax implications. As Mr. Trump said a few days ago it’s your civic duty to pay as little tax as legally possible.
If having a state sanctioned marriage is financially advantageous to you from a tax liability perspective - do it. If not don’t enter into a state sanctioned marriage. They don’t enforce the laws against illegal immigration! What makes you think they will enforce the laws against cohabitation. They haven’t enforced them for 40 or more years! We will essentially redefine cohabitation to include two people living together outside the bounds of State sanctioned marriage even though they are Church married which the state has no need to know.
If staying in a State sanctioned marriage becomes a tax liability. get a cheap “State sanctioned divorce”. You can “State” marry and/or divorce as your financial circumstances change.
If you really need to end your “Church” marriage take it up with your church.
Finally, Most products have an inelastic demand and are therefore essential. A boycott will have very little success on those companies in the long term.
If you can’t beat them; own them!
One or two successful hostile take overs and corporations will learn who actually butters their bread and on what side. As the new cooperate majority share holders and owners and obviously civic minded citizens, the new owners should do their civic duty and pay as little tax as legally possible!!
I have tons of similar ideas. You don’t starve the beast! You train it!
There is only one problem with my ideas. They require coordination and discipline on many levels which is difficult.
