Authorities want to talk to two people who were near the Clyde home where Abilene police officer Don Russell Allen was found murdered earlier this week.
Beard described the individuals as a tall, thin white male and a short, heavyset brunette Hispanic or white female.
The two individuals were seen exiting a maroon, possibly late '90s model, four-door vehicle,
Beard said Texas Rangers have a forensic sketch artist working with witnesses to create a sketch of what the persons of interest look like.
Beard also confirmed that reports of anti-police rhetoric being written on the walls of the crime scene were false. He added that reports of Officer Allen being tortured were also false.
