I think that under Federal Law they can hold a person in jail for 6 months. That is different from the various state laws.
Not in civil contempt. They can hold her indefinitely. Her elected term ends in about four years. They can hold her until then if she continues to refuse.
She should be released and sue for false arrest. The Extreme Court inJustices who decreed this opinion masquerading as “law” should be jailed.
