Suspensions ARE in the CBA - but it depends on the offense. For a first time offense involving possible tampering with equipment, a player can be fined. Not suspended. Further offenses, or more serious ones (drugs) CAN result in suspension. What punishments are acceptable is spelled out, in detail, in the CBA. And the NFL has to abide by its side of that agreement.

Where in the agreement? I don’t read anyplace where suspensions are allowed? And Brady wasn’t just being suspended for equipment tampering but for hindering the investigation by destroying his phone. Is that in the CBS?
