Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Excellent article, Nextrush. Thanks.
The Kentucky legislature is right on the money. There needs to be a new law to replace the law that was struck down.
We all were sinners and are sinners and our sins were forgiven by Jesus’ sacrifice. “And not ours only, but also the sins of the whole world.”

Bunning's mother tells the media that he "disagrees with the Supreme Court's decision" but "he will uphold the law". He will uphold the chain of command. The "Law" is being broken.

So when is Obama going to go to court to explain to a judge why he refuses to deport illegal aliens and for inviting them to the white house and to be given more rights that American Citizens?
This woman has violated no law and no oath. Obama violates his oath and the law every day.
I know of no criminal statute that this woman has violated. Yet she faces criminal penalties for not doing what she is no longer authorized under Kentucky statutes to do.

I believe she's overestimating her role. There are bogus heterosexual marriages, too. Those marriages would be legal in this country but not "real" marriages in the sense of the sacrament of matrimony. But it's not the fault of the clerk who issues the license. Nor would it be with same sex marriages.
She can issue the licenses, believing it's something God won't approve, or quit.
It's like a doctor being forced to perform abortions. He or she would need to find work somewhere else.

Bunning's mother tells the media that he "disagrees with the Supreme Court's decision" but "he will uphold the law". What "law"? SCOTUS invalidated KY law. They did NOT replace it.
Only the KY legislature can do that.

Jim Bunning needs to discipline his errant son sitting as a black-robed tyrant.
