"I walked to the edge of the glacier and saw that it’s really melting,” Nelson

That's what is supposed to happen at "the edges" of glaciers. It's what enables them to slide ever so slowly downhill, and where they melt they often create streams and lakes or the fresh water runs into fjords. Alaskans have been making money for ages letting tourists see glaciers calve as they slowly slip downhill.

Nelson...It DOES get above freezing in Kodiak, Alaska in AUGUST, you dolt......

The average temperature on Kodiak Island, Alaska in July and August is 60 degrees....

Yes, glaciers will melt at 60 degrees....
