There’s a fundamental distinct, in my mind, between actions that are unwise and actions that are criminal.
Getting drunk and dressing provocatively may be unwise, but it is not criminal.
I don’t think the author was equating the two.
One is unwise. One is criminal.
She wasn’t a criminal through her actions, the perpetrators were.
I’m glad when women stand up and admit that dressing provocatively and losing control of themselves through overuse of alcohol, or drug use, is unwise.
Feminazi howling will begin in 3, 2, 1......
The word "fault" reveals not only a limited vocabulary, but a limited inventory of ideas.
No, I don't think she was asking for it, and assault is not okay.
It's not blaming the victim to say that the world is a big, bad place and stuff happens. Something to keep in mind when deciding how to dress, where to go and when to get loopy.
dress like a slut, be treated like a slut...men are not mind readers that under those scanty clothes is a sweet little gal that isn’t really looking for some action....Females now a days are really stupid....gals my age knew how to act and dress. Rape was not in the news every day.....I remember when I was about 10 the word rape was on the front page of the paper...I asked my mother what that meant...Half dressed women are used to sell products on tv and everyone wonders what happened to this country. Add the 60’s and freaky feminazi and there is much of the problem..

I agree. Lots of young women behave inappropriately with their immodest clothes. They are attracting the type of men who may be inclined to assault them
On the other hand - just because a woman is stupid is not a license to rape her.
