Agree,GG2.
I am hopeful that Trump will pair with Cruz for 2016.
But more and more, it is apparent that there is no one in the GOP or Dem fields of candidates that comes anywhere near Trump and his vision to make America great again.
It is also apparent that Trump has tapped into voter’s feelings across the board.
We can’t do the GOP thing anymore. The GOP-E will soon comes to grips with reality—Trump represents their best chance to stay in power and in the perks of office—and that Trump is going to win with or without them.
Yes and IMO Trump is the only person with the force of personality that can whip that bunch of GOP quisling weasels into action and make they do what needs to be done.
“I am hopeful that Trump will pair with Cruz for 2016.”
I think Cruz has the perfect strategy; if GOP voters start to closely examine Trump’s positions and he falters, Cruz is there as the solid, consistent, proven enemy of the GOPe conservatives can go to. If, on the other hand, none of Trump’s past positions end up mattering and primary voters stick with him, Cruz is perfectly positioned to be Trump’s running mate. He’s the only one running that Trump believes he can fully trust and his last name may even help mend some fences (no pun intended) with the Hispanic community. As an added bonus, while Trump stays high in the polls, he’s doing Cruz’s dirty work for him and beating up the GOPe candidates. I like how this is shaping up...
You are so correct.
I was one of the first at FR to repeatedly promote the idea of Cruz as VP for Trump. that was way back in June when Trump was still working on getting traction.
Now, the more I see of Trump, and of Cruz, the more I hope Trump looks outside the political circle to find a VP who shares his vision.
