This is what happens when you have an entire generation of journalists that:
1) Never had to serve in the military;
2) Have no familiarity with firearms;
3) Are too lazy to actually google something they are writing about; or
4) Believe it is proper journalism to invoke the imagery brought about by the phrase “assault rifle” in a story to support their advocacy.
To my thinking, a MAC 10 in the hands of street freaks is even scarier than a real assualt rifle. None of which have any factual relationship to the article.
