Interestingly (or not), I’ve run across several stories where the gay community has gone ballistic over a police raid to curb illegal activity.
Canada, who jumped of the cliff well before us in this area, has had some real doozies. I remember reading one case where the police somewhere in Alberta (IIRC) raided a gay bar where there was credible evidence that both drug trafficking and underage prostitution was taking place. The biggest beef the outraged gay activists had was that the police didn’t bring along a “Gay Community Liaison Officer” or some such to act as an intermediary and understand their special needs.
But what do I know? I think immigration laws should be enforced, which makes me a terrorist and a Nazi in Hillary Clinton’s world.
The famous "Stonewall Riot" in NYC was over a gay bar that kept getting raided because they served alcohol to underage boys who the older men were trying to seduce. There were also complaints about sex in the streets and illegal drug use.
