ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Clashes erupted between Indian and Pakistani security forces Friday, killing at least 11 civilians and wounding scores more on both sides of the contested border, according to officials in both countries.

The exchange of fire came as Indian and Pakistani leaders continued to bicker over the prospect of face-to-face talks.

Indian and Pakistani security forces traded small-arms, artillery and mortar fire, which damaged several villages on both sides of the border, officials said. The violence coincided with the kickoff of India’s golden jubilee celebration marking the 1965 war between India and Pakistan, one of three major conflicts since 1947 between the neighbors, who now have nuclear arms.

"As we mark the 50th anniversary of the 1965 war, I bow to all brave soldiers who fought for our motherland in the war,” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a tweet.

On Friday, India and Pakistan accused each other of starting the latest confrontation. . .

Uh, what is our Iranian appeaser Kerry doing about this, or for that matter Obambi? Thought Hillary's reset button and Obambi's world apology tour had guaranteed World peace.
These 2 nuclear nations may surprise us all with starting WWIII. Pakistan has no MAD policies and India won't succumb. They just don't get Western nuclear mutually assured destruction policies.

Once again, I am so glad I'm heading towards end days. I never once imagined how much our great experiment in freedom would devolve into such a socialist paper tiger that allows such hostilities to build without repercussions. It's no wonder that a Trump can capture such a following.

Notice how the slimebag Washington Post puts [non-muslim] India FIRST—not [muslim]Pakistan.

They have been doing that for years with Israel.

sidebar: The Paki didn’t learn from that one — in 1971 India strategically supported pro-independence Bengalis, leading to the loss of (former) East Pakistan (modern Pakisan, such as it is, is the former West Pakistan) and also kicking the asses of the Paki army and navy in the west.

Bangladesh is one of the world’s most populous countries (#8) and there’s been recent attention to the continued practice of child brides in the predominantly muzzie hellhole.

Bangladesh

Political violence has continued since 2014 national elections that were boycotted by the opposition. Hundreds have been killed and injured, with both government forces and opposition militants responsible. The country’s security forces have carried out enforced disappearances, killings, and arbitrary arrests, particularly targeting opposition leaders and supporters, with impunity. The ruling Awami League has put increasing pressure on the country’s already beleaguered civil society. Following the Rana Plaza building collapse in 2013 that killed more than 1,000 garment workers, labor laws were amended to make it easier for workers to unionize, but this has not stopped intimidation and threats. Unfair war crimes trials arising out of Bangladesh’s 1971 war of independence continue, followed by executions of those convicted.

The last time IIRC, the Paks took over some mountains inside India and the Indians had to root them out. It wasn’t easy going. Hopefully, the Indians wised up and booby trapped them.

India and Pakistan have hated each other a long time and these clashes seem to happen as often as North/South Korea. Likely just another squabble, but I wouldn’t have a problem with them duking it out for a while.

Warm, fuzzy feeling #3: Pak’s tactical-level (battlefield) nukes are under the direct control of the various unit commanders. That is, they don’t need to phone Islamabad for approval to launch.

Hillary’s vile enough to accept the deaths of millions if it’ll chance the subject... That said, if the deal goes down with Iran we can expect to see that region of the world destroyed in time.
